if there's a fire burning in you and it's because you have a soul then you know that doing what's right isn't doing what you're told, if there's anything you care about you can bet teh feds will find it out and when they come knocking at your door saying "who why what?" the best thing you can do, to save your butt is keep your mouth shut. when talking to our comrades is an arrestable offense and protecting all the wild things is our only self defense you might have to block a highway with a train made of clasped hands and you can bet they'll try to stop you when you decide to make a stand so when they come knocking at your door saying "who why what?" even though it may be tough hold that protest on your tongue and keep your mouth shut. and though the corrupt system is designed to keep us poor and the rights this country was founded on aren't considered ours anymore and you might wanna tell them off when they show up at your door, SOLIDARITY MEANS TOGETHER NO MATTER WHAT!!!!! so even if you're facing time KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!

there's a mediocre medicine in meat and nicotine, a trashy sort of trickery in t.v. and caffiene, oh you can blind yourself until you can't tell you can buy it and be amused or you can wake up shake up smash the state up, refuse to be abused... well there's pills that make your wiener grow and shampoo that makes you young lipstick, fish sticks, cigarettes and just watching is a drug and drink might briefly fool you, a big mac might ease the sting, but when you love what's manufactured you don't love anything. and the trouble is advertising's evil spell is so subtle that its hard to tell and the trouble is nothing keeps you busy and something isn't always fun and you might think you've seen the world through images on the screen and you might not even notice what you're force fed in between can you resist the unreal standards shun the safety of your couch you don't have to swallow what the network is puking out and the trouble is sleeping is easy and superficial dreams are sneaky

everyone's endangered with money playing god, not just the cheetah or the banded loach or the yellow legged frog, but condor wolf and caribou, toad and trout and me and you, owl and albatross and otter, meadows mountain tops and water, free speech fir trees and fruit bats, pelicans privacy, chinchilla rats, teh sturgeon and the horn bill, solidarity and free will...when we accept the industry's expansion, cut down trees to build more mansions, submit ourselves to subjugation, enslave ourselves to corporations, arrest the ones who disagree with consumption as teh policy, we destroy our souls connections....so don't remain oppressed without objection, go forward in all directions, don't destroy your souls connections, respect teh natural perfection. everyones endangered with money playing god go forward in all directions!

The moon plays with our shadows as we undress & reveal our flaws Tracing each others web with a curious compassionate touch Some look to the sky seeking answers from the stars Laughing as we discover where each lonely thread combines We're each born from nothing, travelers we all must become Beyond the grave we've created, through toils and hardships of life There's no rest on this journey except through the garden or fire As each is in accordance with people's desire to survive If the web can't sustain itself the structure must be torn apart There's beauty in destruction when your love is the kiss of nature With each flaw perfection, with each failure grace Let go don't fear the change ahead as our roots intertwine...

do you remember when we first met? i thought i might wanna hold you, you seemed boring and sad to me and i wanted to help unfold you, there was something bright behind your eyes, a sparkle unconcealed, and i've got this thing with shy folks where i like to push till they reveal...well, soon enough i hated you, you deeply were despised, i found you sneaky and insensitive said i wanted you to die and i would've kicked your ass then, but that was my best dress and i had a big crush on your girlfriend and knew she wouldn't be impressed, so i sucked it up i held it back, i hid it deep inside, but times have changed and tensions eased so let's mend our divide and let's be friends again, let's be bros and chums, all that mean stuff that i said about you, well i am sorry for some, so let's be friends. oh, i sucked it up i held it back i hid it deep inside, but times have changed and tensions eased so let's mend our divide and let's be friends again, let's be bros and chums all that mean stuff that i said about you, well i am sorry for some, so let's be friends again, let's hang out and play, oh let's shake on it for old times sake oh jeff what do you say now let's be friends....

sadness is a sickness and my sisters seem to suffer their loneliness so vicious it turns them against each other and all the small things that vex them, diminish all the things that connect them. apathy is an ailment not a human limitation but when peter's heart starts aching he just takes more medication and all the pain that's inside him masquerades as the things that define him. answers are elusive if you never ask the question, isolation with delusion breeds confusion and depression and all the joy they can believe in is ignored for the comforts that deceive them. honesty is humbling and none of us are blameless i don't propose perfection every small step is courageous and the emptiness that frustrates you has roots in the fear that separates you. love is so much larger than the words we use to say it and this song is just my love for you the best way i can display it, and all the love that you're hoarding, when shared becomes more rewarding.

there was a fictional girl she was oppressed by the system and she wanted to change things and no one would listen so she took the bottle from the beer she'd been drinking and she filled it with gasoline said "that'll get 'em thinking" it took a lot more than fire for her to light up that fuse, but between nothing and flames it was easy to choose...and sometimes maybe we can not fix it and sometimes it must be erased...she usually preferred a more passive approach but she learned that destruction has its place. there was a fictional boy who was fighting the lies but they kept getting bigger despite all his tries and so he took the spray paint that he found in the shed and under cover of darkness he painted the town red, and sometimes maybe we can not fix it and sometimes it must be erased, though previously he had condemned it he now saw destruction's smiley face.. and the meek shall inherit nothing and private property is a myth, i usually prefer a more passive approach but i fear that it's come down to this.

i was a kid when i saw waco burn i couldn't grasp that i was seeing the denial of rights and the destruction of life, an inferno of human beings the news claimed fire was an accident but years later it came out "oops we slaughtered 25 children, what's all the fuss about?" i was working when the towers dropped, more tragedy sensationalized by the press, planes hijacked a terrorist attack, "we have to retaliate" you know the rest.."a justified reaction" said the puppets on t.v. but when they need to distract us from something else, from something worse, is that still what it will be? dollar signs drawn in blood and lies, painted on more faces every day, demand truth and resist tyranny and meet batons and pepper spray, "you must hate!" they've told us "we must make war and here is proof" but history shows it's not in their best interest to tell any of us the truth tell us the truth sometimes i cry in desperation, so many don't question or understand, whatever ugliness we're seeing now is just the tip of the ice berg of what is planned.. but i know people feel it near and far mines not the only heart that bleeds there's revolution sprouting everywhere and other lovers watering seeds and all of us are in teh danger zone for teh things we think and say and feel, but with every change we perpetrate, more beauty and truth are revealed. and when fighting for what you know is right it's not just your time and voice you're giving but a big big love in all directions that says human rights are more important than living.

my sympathies for being frank, confusing and a fool, but words are spells of power they say. the situations looking grim the prophecies the ruling class, the bare and battered bodies of the slaves, may all who suffer find the source rewrite the dream we dream into what can't be ignored, from the arms of our lawless memories to the limit of what we may never know....they laugh at us, we laugh at them, they are ourselves as we are them, the joke is huge, more than we see, that's the way it's been, will it always be? we live in an age of demons who don't breathe sleep or cry, see their sigils up on every wall, persuading us to buy into the great commercial lie, this mindless train can't support us all, may all who dream the dream, find the way, may all who have the fear cease to be afraid, may all who hunger find food, may all who come into this world live it true. they laugh at us, we laugh at them, they are ourselves as we are them, the joke is huge, more than we see, that's the way it's been will it always be?

he glowed with a non violent agitation, burned with an increasingly prickly frustration, no reverence for money, no respect for corporations, though all were suspicious of infiltration, no one suspected romance as instigation, deluded by the bravado of infatuation, even true hearts are prone to exaggeration and who with a soul on fire in love hasn't been predisposed to commit a crime? it's a symptom of love and the fever of action that there's only this second in time, love can lubricate the rustiest minds- and conspiracy and anarchy however they're defined are just a joyful prayer, just a friendly sign, for all of us walking that disappearing line between what's ours what's right, and the machine and now the jury's in deliberation, after 2 years of intimidation, spiced with bouts of forced starvation, two years spent in isolation and i think they're gonna let you out d, and i know they're gonna let you out d, cuz the way that you live shows your already free living your life is not a conspiracy, being in love is not a conspiracy, conversation is not a crime there's only this second in time, the guilty are the ones who've stolen your time.

This is not the way it could be We could cut a hole through the role of industry We'll sail underneath the wire like roots through the street Like when lovers secretly meet This like when we first learned to breath Chose our fate complete with joy and suffering We left the comfort of bliss like a breeze through dead leaves This is what it is to...be "Now that every continent has been conquered And every country side explored Nothing is more precious than the passages to new worlds" (-crimethinc) Like the song on your tongue

once i was dreaming but still it was seeming to me i was laying down praying awake in my bed, as i said i was dreaming but still i was scheming to kill myself quickly by sticking a gun to my head, the pills i had taken could hardly awaken the life i'd forsaken and taken so much for granted, that's when i felt it the tears that so seldomly streaked down my pale cheeks pouring down onto my bed, and onto the floor and though they did not pour onto the flower that i had forgotten to water for so damn long i thought it ought to have died before i ever cried these tears but still the lily grows, still the lily grows once upon waking i found i was baking a cake in my oven that i had not wanted to bake so i screamed but it seemed that the sound that i found deep inside me did nothing to make the cake fall and that's when i found it the note that expounded the reasons why i should cry tears like never before, and then they hit the floor.....

i don't wanna hear about your big dumb war, and i don't even watch your news anymore, it's obvious that blood and money bring you joy, but i don't make my choices based on advertising ploys.. and i believe in food not bombs and i believe in food not lawns and i believe that we can all be free, and i believe in no taxation and i believe in border less nations and i believe that anarchy is a key. i believe in critical mass that the e.l.f. is kicking ass and i believe we must destroy to build, and i believe in earth first a revolutionary rebirth and i believe if we want change we will, and i believe in community, i believe in diversity, and i believe in growing stuff in the dirt and i believe in shoplifting and i believe in dumpstering and i believe that squatting never hurts! and i wish the white house would burn down and fruit trees grow up from the ground to cover up the space that it was wasting! and no more bombs and no more guns and plenty of food for everyone and no more war and no more money, the promised land of milk and honey and i believe it's revolution we're facing.
